Top 10 Most Anticipated Upcoming Steam Indie Games in May 2015

November 4, 2019

There’s dozens of games coming out on Steam
everyday and most of them are incredibly unique. These games range from driving games to strategy,
action, and even exploration. You won’t be disappointed with these indie games on Steam.
Let’s take a look at the top 10 most anticipated indie games coming to steam in the month of
May. Axiom Verge
Axiom Verge is a side scrolling adventure game that bares an uncanny resemblance to
the original Metroid. This game came out on PS4 not too long ago, but now it’s making
it’s way to steam. You play as a failed scientist who dies in accident, but mysteriously awakens
in an alien world. The game is huge, theres over 700 rooms to explore using 40 weapons,
over 60 upgrades, and youll be facing about 70 creatures. This game is solely developed
all by one person. Tom Happ has served as the sole developer, artist, and musician of
the game which he started back in 2010 as a side project. If you are a metroid fan,
youll want to look into this indie game. Lemma
Lemma is probably the game that I’m most excited about in our lineup. It’s a first person parkour
game and no, it’s not a Mirror’s Edge clone. The game takes places in a fantasy world where
you run and jump across platforms in the sky. The game is focused on exploration as the
world has many hidden elements and portals. There’s also a great deal of mystery as you
find letters and communicate with other people in this big empty world. Exploration is a
big theme in a lot of newer games and this one should keep our minds occupied. You traverse
using parkour movements such as jumping, wall running, sliding, rolling, and climbing. The
environment can literally be shaped around you to solve puzzles. The development and history of the game is
also interesting. The game is being developed entirely by one person, Evan Todd, for the
last four years. The game was accepted on Steam greenlight, but the Kickstarter campaign
failed. Evan did what he needed to do to get the game finished and published and now it’s
coming to Steam this May. Wander
Wander takes a step in a completely different direction for MMOs and is part of a new genre
of games. The game revolves entirely around exploration and discovery in a huge open world.
There’s no combat. It’s you and the environment. In wander your start off deep in a forest
occupying the form of a walking sentient tree. Eventually you get to embody other forms each
with their own unique abilities to interact with the world. The game isn’t entirely objective
based, it’s more like a simulator. You’ll discover lorestones and mysterious records
that teach you the history of the planet and it’s inhabitants. There are also plenty of
secrets to discover for those who sink their time in to the game. Toren
Toren is an adventure and exploration game that stands out from the crowd. You play as
the female protagonist known as Moonchild, where you are destined to climb the tower
called Toren. The game is a story driven dark fantasy filled with symbolism. There are many
secrets to discover that reveal the origins behind Toren and Moonchild’s purpose. The
game has a lot of puzzle solving you will encounter deadly creatures. Developed by the
Indie Brazilian developer, Swordtales, the game looks really amazing. The art style looks
dark and cinematic as the environments are filled with small details. You can really
get lost in this game. Built around an epic poem, the game takes
the audience in a torrent of discoveries about the greatest myth of all, the meaning of life.
Toren is a game in development, with transformation in mind, using an environment with a constant
threat: a relentless enemy. The experience desired for the player is the human struggle
against time and mortality. The player will grow and change along with the tower and its
heroes. Invisible Inc
Invisible Inc is a strategy stealth game where your team must infiltrate the world’ s most
dangerous corporations. Stealth, precision, and teamwork are essential in high-stakes,
high-profit missions, where every move may cost an agent their life. You start with any
of 10 different unlockable agents. There is also a lot of customization as you can plan
infiltrations with different agents, items, augments, and programs. It’s develop by Klei
Entertainment, known for Mark Of The Ninja so we can expect fully animated cutscens and
an immersive story. is the most comprehensive vehicle physiques simulator. It’s a realistic and
immersive driving game offering near limitless possibilities. The soft body physics engine
simulates every component of a vehicle in real time resulting in realistic and dynamic
behavoir. The driving feel is authentic and visceral and the crashes are realistic and
violent. The game is incredibly open ended as you can construct and customize ytour vehicle
in any way you want. All kinds of specialized game modes are being implemented such as racing,
crashing, police chases, stunt challenges, and mini games. The environment is incredibly
detailed and the open world gives you plenty to explore. This is the new sandbox of driving
games. It’s arriving on early access this May. Inside My Radio
Inside my radio is a 2D side scrolling rhytmic platform adventure. It’s a ryhtm based as
your movements have to be on the beat. The game has a crazy electro, dub, and disco soundtrack
and should appeal to audiophiles and people who like unique rhythm based games. Lost Orbit
Lost Orbit is referred to as a Dodge Em Up. You play as Harrison a lowly maintenance
worker and our hero who is stranded in deep space. Harrison sets off to rejoin his civilization
with only an improvised set of equipment and a relentless spirit. There’s 40 levels across
4 unique solar systems where you must boost, swim, bounce, leap, and teleport your way
through obstacles. Crookz
Crookz is a strategy game set in the 1970s with a heavy emphasis on funk, flared jeans,
and disco music. The game is all about breaking into the richest homes and stealing the finest
jewelry. Think of it like Xcom, but with a totally different theme. You have a gang of
thieves with up to six characters each with their own role in the heist. You use all kinds
of techniques such as camera jammers, chloroform, or explosive charges. You really have to plan
out your points of entry and stealth to avoid being detected. The game is published by Kalypso
media who is known for strategy games like Tropico so the game should have good support
and hopefully a good community. Duck Game
Duck game is a very tongue in cheek retro futuristic game. Think of it like Smash bros
but with Ducks and Guns. The game takes place in the futuristic year of 1984 where ducks
run wild in a frantic battle for glory. You’ll be blasting enemies and friends with Shotguns,
net guns, mind control rays, saxophones, magnet guns, and more. It supports 2 to 4 players
in local multiplayer and online with over 50 levels and 50 different weapons. A level
editor is even included for those who want to expand the game even further. Subscribe to the skilled channel for more
