Hello everyone, in French I’m Pierre-Julien, I come from France and the club of Salaise-Sur-Sanne, in Isere, south of Lyon I was world number one from 2013 to 2015 and I will explain to you a little of the main aspects of my technique I start by placing my feet properly on the ground and then working upwards the pelvis the torso, the shoulders and then I transfer my body into the bow It’s really how I see things I start from the shooting line, make my posture and then arrive at the target The are really two main points two really important points in my shot The first is making sure the two feet are placed in exactly the same spot on the shooting line and then it’s everything above that the pelvis, the torso in line and the shoulders properly on top and then it’s the bow and drawing after So once I’m placed on the shoot-line I’ve placed my body in the correct position, I pull my bow without moving my shoulders Except of course my drawing shoulder will move into position backwards but the position of the shoulders stays still and if the line of my shoulders is consistent with the line of the bow the biological line with the mechnical line everything is in the correct place to shoot a good shot and with the right sightmark, shoot a 10 So first start a shot by placing your skeleton correctly and repeat and practice this many times to build your shot around this well-placed core Why is this the most important thing for me? Because it’s a very simple thing and when you find yourself in stressful conditions like wind, humid or rainy conditions or the stress of shooting in a final spectators, cameras everywhere, alternate shooting where we only have 20 seconds to shoot a single arrow in the most tense situation in archery it’s important to go back to the things that are simple The simpler things are the easier they will be to reproduce and execute
