November 30, 2019

It’s day four of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter
Olympics. I’m Kim Hye-sung with the latest on the games. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights
so far. The men’s 15-hundred meter speed skating final
started at 8 p.m. Korea time. The final match in the mixed curling, one
of the newly added events for this year’s Olympics is also underway,…
with Canada and Switzerland vying for gold. In the Men’s Alpine Combined, held this afternoon,
Austria’s ( ) Marcel Hirscher came in first with an overall record of two minutes six-point-5-2
seconds. South Korea’s Kim Dong-woo, the only skiier
from Asia in the event, ranked 33rd. He is the first South Koeran skiier in 26
years to finish the race American snowboarder Chloe Kim won her first
Olympic gold medal in the women’s halfpipe competition Tuesday with a score of 98-point-25
Her near perfect score and aerial tricks have already earned the 17-year-old star a nickname
— G.O.A.T, the greatest of all time And that brings us to the medal tally. As of 8 p.m. Tuesday,
Germany is top of the list with four gold medals — three from biathlon… and one from
ski jumping. The Netherlands is in second,… thanks to
its dominance in speed skating. The United States ranks third. Austria, boosted by its gold in alpine skiing
today, ranks seventh. The host country, South Korea, is ninth with
one gold medal. And more exciting games are coming up. The women’s 5-hundred-meter short track speed
skating semi-finals have begun. Tomorrow, we have one of the events that’s
been making headlines… women’s ice hockey… The match between the United Korean team and
Japan will take place tomorrow afternoon. The men’s halfpipe final run is scheduled
for 11: 30 a.m. tomorrow. Let’s see if we can find another rising star
like Chloe Kim. And the women’s 1-thousand meter short track
speed skating is slated for 7p.m. tomorrow. That’s all I have for our 8 p.m. newscast. Here are the results from today’s events.
