CHAMPIONSHIPS. 13 NEWS REPORTER SHANNON LITTON IS LIVE IN ASHLAND WITH THE DETAILS. GOOD MORNING, SHANNON JACK, MERRILY, GOOD MORNING! WE FIRST INTRODUCED YOU TO BRENNAN STEPHENS BACK IN MAY WHEN THE ARCHERY TEAM AT ROSE HILL CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS WAS HEADING TO NATIONALS. BRENNAN PLACED SO WELL IN THAT COMPETITION THAT HE MOVED ON TO THE ARCHERY OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP AT THE MUSIC CITY CENTER IN NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE THIS SUMMER. BRENNAN WAS SHOOTING A 280 AT THE BEGINNING OF THE LAST SCHOOL YEAR AND WAS THE TOP SCORER ON HIS TEAM. HE SAYS HE WAS AIMING FOR A 293 AT THE CHAMPIONSHIP BUT ENDED UP WITH A 292! BRENNAN PLACED 5TH OUT OF 500 COMPETITORS AND SAYS HE THANKS HIS COACHES AND FRIENDS FOR THEIR SUPPORT AS THEY WERE CONSTANTLY CHECKING IN ON HIM WHILE HE WAS COMPETING IN NASHVILLE. I HAVE TO TELL YOU, WHILE WE WERE FILMING THIS STORY, BRENNAN TOLD US HE WAS USING SOMEBODY ELSE’S BOW BUT HE WAS STILL HITTING THE MIDDLE OF THE BULLSEYE ON EVERY SHOT.
