Karate – Tekki-Shodan, le cavalier de fer [Karate-Blog.net]

November 30, 2019

Hello. I’m Bruno BANDELIER karate-blog.net on clear and net karate. So I welcome you on this new video. So today we will see Tekki-Shodan. Tekki-Shodan, basically, this is the first Kata that says “advanced” because it is after the basic Katas: the five Heian. So this is the last to know for the passage of the black belt. So for the passage of the black belt, you have to know the five Heian: Shodan, Nidan, Sandan, Yodan Godan and more Tekki-Shodan. In time, there was Bassai Dai and Kanku Dai but now it’s past the second Dan. So for the first Dan, there are six to Katas. So you see, Tekki-Shodan, it is a bit special compared to Heian. Is the working line as if you were on a beam. Everything is in horse stance. Besides, Tekki-Shodan, originally called, if I’m not mistaken, “Naifanchi”. I do not know if it is pronounced exactly like that, but is: Naifanchi Dachi, the original position of horse stance. Compared with the horse stance is a little higher, but it’s still a position on both feet parallel Naifanchi Dachi. So the kata then was called “Naifanchi”. Now is that Master Funakoshi changed the name, who called it “Tekki-Shodan.” This is a favorite kata of Master Funakoshi. From what I read, Tekki-Shodan is the only one, because there are three Tekki. It is the only original Kata. The two were apparently created after the fact, by Master Itosu. Here, Tekki-Shodan you will see, very simple. Finally very simple, it is not easy to do because we work a lot with the Hara. You will see, return to the video of horse stance I explain the position and where I explain that all technical then, just above rely on the base We need your horse stance position, you must really consider yourself a pedestal. You must not move. There are just vibrations of hips, but it should not be movement nor the knees and all that. So we will see him again in the Kata. So, I’m you. I you do it once, I think … no, it should not be too bad. I look if I’m on the video, apparently yes. Come on, I’ll do it once. Tekki-Shodan! Well, so you have seen, all done in one line. It’s not complicated, we share in a sense, we go back in the other and then everything is done in reverse. I do it in the direction you there. So now, there may be times in Kata where there are movements of face, this is not a long way Come on! Tekki-Shodan! That’s when I said, this is a Kata: once you are in horse stance, you must move the lower body, or almost. You must not, when you put a punch for example, move your hip. You see, you bend like that. When you hit on the side, you need not rotate. You really need to keep the road there, there. Horse stance, the basin remains a pedestal and energy from there, part of the stomach to come to bear on the base and send energy in the arm. Return to video horse stance that explains it and go see the video of dissociation hips I think I approach the subject a little there and see, we detail in kata. So, Maybe he just a little to make sure you see my feet. So initially Heisoku Dachi: right hand, left hand finally on the right hand. The hands are strained: left hand on the right hand like that; not against all, not far like that, slanted like that. The aligned hands Heisoku Dachi. So the flat basin. You enter the dragon’s tail. The flat basin there, must feel the support at the bottom of the feet, at the heels. I move there. The movement is called “Kosa Ashi,” it will be crossed feet. It crosses. It looks very high leg. I’ve left hand going towards the opponent there. The right hand arm just below and made Haishu Uke while fumikomi. You saw, I go away, I get: Haishu Uke, fumikomi. Fumikomi is: kick crashing to the ground. Then Empi: I’ve hit in my hand. You’ve seen, I do not do that. I stay in horse stance. It moves a little, but not too much: One. Two… Kamae, looking for the name. Anyway, you’re on guard, I do not remember the name. So it is: knock. I just Kamae and my gaze turns there. The tempo is: one, two. And then is made in the second tempo that is: one, two. So there is Gedan Barai but without coming here. So there is Gedan Barai but without coming here. Directly. I go there, one hand belly energy comes in the arm. Then Kagi Zuki: punch on the side. So the position Mizu Nagare which means the position of the flowing water. If I put a drop of water, she does not fall there. If I’m like that, it does not fall there. If I’m like that, it falls here. So you have to see … so at the shoulder: for very fluid. Then I move: always Kosa Ashi. I cross my legs, I get the knee and I will do fumikomi the ground and at the same time before, I Uchi Uke. So there, for now, I always look there. And when I go down, my arm is going to come here to the belt, and immediately I look good before to Uchi Uke. So I begin: I meet so I’m Kagi Zuki. I get up, always look there, I have not moved position, I do everything coming, fumikomi. Okay. Then the arm in front descends directly Gedan Barai while the other – the arms are tightened slightly – just do Nagashi Uke. Nagashi Jodan Uke, it is not Jodan Age Uke. It is more: I pulls back and at the same time, I put my arm guard, Jodan Kamae. I am ready to come knocking. I come here and then my arm falls for Ura Zuki. It is not … watch, I say it is not; it is a variant. There are some who do Uraken but normally, Ura Zuki. This is not an uppercut like that. We really need the arms down and there it was a straight path, straight, straight; not rounded like that, but straight. So, I come and I just put my arm that was Gedan Barai below the elbow. Then I do … I’m going to see two seconds. Yes that’s it. Nami Gaeshi. So, excuse me, I hit it. There, I Gaeshi Nami, it’s called. I do a scan. I have, in fact, with my foot sweep the entire area before. I’m almost up to the parties and the ideal I put you well “ideal” pare it is not easy is to stay in horse stance, not to lose balance. So, the ideal would be that there remains leg horse stance and the other there, the knee stays there. Here, I just turn around the knee. It’s here. The ideal solution, therefore, must go relatively quickly. It starts there. From there it continues, all is hard. So I just … I remonstrated sweep you anyway: foot really sweeps with the following way. I sweep left leg. To remind you, there you have the left arm in front; you start with the left leg. I tell you because often when you start, it is not known. So there is the left arm begins, I start left leg. And, I’m going in there, Morote Uke. I’m stuck with the game there, Morote Uke. Then, I left leg, now I’m right leg. Exactly the same motion as it once there. I’ll do it several times, it is to show you. Soto Uke, always keeping the arm. I come here, Kamae. It is Koshi Kamae, I searched the name just now. Koshi Kamae and there, I turn Morote Zuki. Chudan Morote Zuki, both fists on the same line horizontally, like this. By cons, do not try to have the fists start in one place. There is one that is in front with respect to the other. Morote Zuki, So here, for Morote, that’s not it. That I will Tettsui. There must my fists come here and then they leave. Okay. The fist comes here to go on Yoko Zuki there Morote Zuki. Then the left arm just below arm. The right hand opens and there, I draw: Haishu Uke and I do everything the other way. Exactly the same thing, just in reverse. So if you remember: one, two, three, four. I move, Kosa Ashi; I get up and knock together I Uchi Uke. I just do Gedan Barai and I arm up there: Nagashi Jodan Uke. Nagashi Uke, I go down Ura Zuki. Nami Gaeshi by Morote Uke. Nami Gaeshi by Soto Uke. Kosa, sorry … Koshi Kamae right Morote Zuki. Hands open and come back slowly, Heisoku Dachi and before my eyes. I welcome and commend in Yoi. So you see, to learn. Learn techniques, movements and all that. It is not very difficult because there are not many movements and this is exactly the same in one direction than in another. By cons, it is very difficult is to get to do this without Kata find yourself doing that, what. There are plenty who do that: that rotate, that come there … and there. It’s not that. We really need, you are horse stance one, it goes a little low, but horse stance and we must get to keep the pool at the same level throughout the Kata. So work it! This is really an internal work. You have to feel that the media leave from there and not the hips. Many say that the technical depart hips. However, the techniques, they do not leave hips. The technique, it starts here. She comes very often in technical, rely on the hips and can post technical. And when the hip does not move, technical and from there it rests on the hip to leave, Okay ; a strong base. After, when we are in a position where we can move it from there. Hip share at the same time, the foundation is strong and we arrive at once. But technology is not part of the hip, she goes belly. The technical part of the belly. It rests on the hips to come to blows. That was just an aside, but it is important in Tekki-Shodan to feel that. We will feel that you have a permanent tension in the abdomen. The pool is not … you are not arched. You must go back to horse stance and you need to align the flat basin and the body: the vertebrae stacked one on the other, not stretched in one direction, not bent in the other. Stacked, just stacked and pressure is maintained here to strike in all directions, power hitting left and right on a solid foundation. Here, listen! Thank you. I hope this little video Tekki-Shodan enjoyed it. And I hope that now you have the six basic Katas to spend your Shodan and it’ll make you want to go. I will give you videos. We will work … there will be many things: Kihon and all … Kihon Kumite. I do not tell you everything. Listen, thank you. See you next time and wish you good things about karate-blog.net, clear and net karate. Thank you, good-bye.
