  1. Not the kick I would use though. In close range I punch, in long range I kick. This can work for tall people maybe.

  2. It's mostly used for full contact. You may get the point, unless the judges will think that it was not a clean roundhouse kick.

  3. I think this is good for Kyokushin, because they keep the hands low and punch to the body, this kick easily hits the head, because the hands protect the body from punches.

  4. wow Great videos man, ive been training Boran Muay Thai and Wing Chun for nearly six years now. i've stretched myself a great deal in that time and am very flexible but perfect 45's can very hard to throw , your stretching techniques are great and within a 3 or 4 days i have seen a six inch increase in height of my 45 degree kicks as well as feeling much more balanced using some balance tips. thank you and keep em coming!

  5. Are the muscles used in the 45 degree kick a combination of hamstring and adductors rather than just hamstring or adductors? Do you have a side leg raise tutorial?

  6. Every time I do it, if I don't see a video of myself doing it, it feels like I am doing a front kick with my toes extended. Is it just my paranoia, or does it feel that way to anyone else? Like, I know I am doing it correctly, it just feels… off. Maybe I'm just over-thinking it; the technique, though similar purpose to a 90 degree roundhouse, is still performed differently, with different postures.

  7. @Elasticsteel Hey so for the full roundhouse kick you initially bring your leg up 45 degrees like that but then flip your hip over and follow through, retract it after right?
