Karate – Rotation sur les talons, pour éviter « Nigé » [Karate-Blog.net]

November 16, 2019

Hello to you all, and welcome to this new video on karate-blog.net, clear and net Karate. Today is a video a little bit special, I had not at all expected to do. But in fact, this is a result of reactions when I put the video Taikoku Shodan I had the idea to make this video. In fact, I have had feedback on Taikoku Shodan, when I explained in Taikoku Shodan you must turn on the heel, but not on tiptoe. So there I had reactions. When I’m doing karate, I turn on tiptoe, but not on the heel. So why do we say we turn on the heel? So first, if I put the need to turn on your heels, This is simply because in Taikoku, turn on your heels. But then, later, when I say that, I’m told, would have you explain a little bit why. I think the question is a bit weird because katas, I present them to you as they are to be made. After why … It’s not always me … I do not always have the right answer. Anyway, I’ll try to give you the answer to the question. You should know that not so long ago that I even turned on tiptoe by mistake. In fact, I had the habit of turning on tiptoe, it was not a worry to me. So this is not incompatible, but I was advised by an expert. Besides, I did the interview. It’s Sensei Jhonny James who taught me the concept of ‘Nige’. The notion of Nige is not complicated, I’ll show you. When one is in a Kata, turn on your heels, just to go in the direction of the attack. The notion of Nige, is the fact that to do the opposite. Ie: to have an attack there and turn, to have the body that goes backwards. When turning on tiptoe, the body goes backward. So when you are in combat, in Kumite or whatever, you turn on tiptoe, this is p s grave. Your opponent is, you turn to him. But in Kata, Kata from the beginning, moreover you will notice in the video Taikoku Shodan, in Kata that I present to you: the first rotation I do, I do it on tiptoe. It is a mistake that I made, no one has seen, is my I tell you. When you go see is the only rotation that I do not do well. I do it like this: a bad reflex. When turning, the attack is here. And the Katas, what research is to have the greatest possible efficiency, whether in technical attack or defense techniques. So the goal will be to bring in my arm arm strength, the rotational force and at the same time: moving the center of gravity. So if I stay like this, look carefully I’ll put my foot on the line like that. You will see the difference. My foot is on the line. If I turn on the heel, I’ll do it well. Here. You see ? My center of gravity is here and there, it happens here. So he moved forward, then I will gain power on the arm. Power, speed and everything. I push on the back leg and I win. If I turn on tiptoe, what is p asse? My center of gravity is there. He remains there. You see ? I am like this. It’s normal. My foot, he was there just now, my heel was there and now it’s here. So automatically, my support declined it. Although my position is open, it is lar ge, my center of gravity does not back much of the blow. But he has not advanced at all. Understand, so that’s the concept of Nige. It is the fact to do that: to retreat. So again we see the most is when the end of a small side as I say all the time and we must go back. Imagine: I’ll put my foot on the line. So, I just made Oi Zuki and I have to turn there. I told vou s one turns on the heel of the back leg. If I turn on the heel of the back leg, it looks like this. Here. I am pretty My heel is pretty much the same place as earlier. No problem. I moved so far. My center of gravity gets here. Now I am in my position and I will turn on tiptoe. Did you see where it’s my foot? Compared to earlier where my foot was there, my foot is now back there. So my center of gravity is there instead of being there. In a real fight perspective, this is not a problem too since everything depends on the attack, and the distance from your opponent and all that … But in the Kata, you must have the most effective technique. And the most effective, is to use this movement: I want to go there and send my body there. I do not do: I turn there and I hold my body turning on the wrong part of the foot. So that’s Nige. You see, I was there and I find myself there. I backed up. Here. That was all. It was just a break to have a small element of reflection on this concept of Nige. So if there are experts who want to comment, they do not hesitate especially, to educate people, to bring more to this video. Thank you and see you next time on karate-blog.net. Thank you and goodbye.

    Merci pour la video

  2. C'est un détail, mais en japonais on prononce niGé (comme dans guêpe) et pas niJé, sinon très intéressant comme explication 🙂
