How Does Online Game Rental Work? Gamefly Review

October 8, 2019

Gamefly offers Rentals for PS4, Xbox One,
Wii U, Vita, 3DS, and even Blu Ray movies. It has a complete library with all the latest
games on all new platforms. You can even pre-order upcoming games as they are announced. Here’s how it works. Gamefly revolves around
your “GameQ” which allows you to queue up games to be sent to your home as they become
available. On average it takes about 3 days to receive or return games from gamefly depending
on how far away the distribution center is from your home. Games are generally in good
condition and are gauranteed to work. If you have any issues customer support is very available
to help you with your rental. You also have the option to keep the game
for a discounted price. They will mail you the manual and cover for the game after purchase.
Your game comes in an envelope with a slim cardboard sleeve for protection. It also includes
a paid self addressed return envelope. There is a 30 day free trial that allows you
to start off your rental membership. Then there’s the 1 Game Plan which runs at $15.95
per month. Finally, there’s the 2 Game plan for $22.95 per month. The 2 Game plan offers
the best value. This way you have less down time. You can be playing one game while the
other game is potentially in transit. The only major downside is that it can be
difficult to get new games shortly after release. On release day, availability of new top games
can be very low and you may end up not receiving the game for a few weeks. I find gamefly works
best for games that are at least a month old. I have been a member for a few months now,
and I have yet to run into any issues with the condition of the discs, the timeliness
of the delivery, or any problems with site functionality. If you are the type who will
only play games for a week or two before selling or discarding them, I highly recommend that
you run the free trial and see if it’s right for you. For $22.95 on the 2 game plan, there’s
a lot of value and it can give you a chance to stay on top of games without shelling out
$60 plus dollars every time there’s a new release. Make sure you subscribe for more reviews and
game walkthroughs. Rating/Summary: 8

  1. Awesome vid man! Straight and Simple, I like it, and how you included the pros, cons and facts 😀 I really just feel like playing Titanfall again as I borrowed it from a friend and it's a cool change of pace from other games, and I don't want to buy it just yet..then again if I Don't subscribe to GameFly, then maybe I can just use that money and buy a brand new Titanfall..Hmmm :/ damnit another dilemma -.-

  2. I stopped my service when they took 3 weeks to send me the next game on my queue… my turn around has always been about a week, and I'm only a state away from one of their shipping centers. Gamefly sucks ass.
