Bendy And The Ink Machine | Steam Horror Games | All Steamed Up Review

November 6, 2019

Whats up Zombs and welcome to an All Steamed
Up review of Blinky and the INk Machine. Bendy and the Ink Machine is Walt Disney’s
Steamboat Willy meets Saw in a first person old school style puzzle / action / horror
game. The first chapter of this episodic series
is available for FREE on Steam at this time, so I decided to download chapter 1 and play
it after seeing a lot of positive reviews. You play the game as an animator named Henry,
who has returned to his old cartoon studio after his old boss invites him back 30 years
later. When you arrive, the studio is not what it
used to be, and has transformed into a sort of nightmarish version with ink all over the
place, mysterious messages written on the walls, and lots of strange eerie cartoon things
happening. The first chapter is mostly like a 3D photo
hunt, with your goal to find 6 objects hidden throughout the pretty small level in order
to fix a giant ink machine. It isn’t easy as the 3D cartoony graphic
style make the objects blend in with the level and at one point you are sure to scream at
your computer “WHERE IS THE WRENCH”. There were also a few jump scare type moments
as well, but was mostly just generally creepy. While there were no enemies in the first chapter,
at the end you do end up finding a weapon, so I’d assume fighting will show up in the
2nd chapter, which actually costs money. Overall the 1940’s cartoon style of the
levels, the Faux-Disney style story and the semi-difficulty of finding the puzzle pieces
were a few of the things that stood out making this a fun little game. It is extremely short and there isn’t much
to do or explore, but for free, you can’t expect much better than this. I’m intrigued to continue on to Chapter
2 of Blinky and the Ink Machine, but if you want a good 30 minutes of fun, download chapter
1 for free today. Thanks for watching Zombs! If you want to watch me get All STeamed Up
