Fiona Bruce questioned the Liberal Democrat leader Jo Swinson over whether she believes she will be the next Prime Minister following an audience member’s question Ms Bruce said: “You would need a tsunami of seats, 340. So to answer this gentleman’s question, are you still saying you could be Prime Minister?” It comes as Ms Swinson said she is in the running to be the next Prime Minister  Ms Swinson responded: “I recognise got much more challenging since Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage cooked up a deal to stitch up seats between them  “I get that it is a big ask. “But I am absolutely fighting for every Liberal Democrat vote and for every Liberal Democrat seat ” Ms Bruce asked: “Is that a yes or a no?”  Ms Swinson continued: “We do live in a world where sometimes strange things have happened in politics ” The moment comes after the Liberal Democrat leader left Twitter users shocked after posting an “insulting” tweet about her upcoming appearance on BBC Question Time  Ms Swinson has been moaning for the past week after she was snubbed to join the ITV Leaders Debate on Tuesday  That debate featured Conservative leader Boris Johnson and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn  Ms Swinson’s Lib Dems are the fourth biggest party with a meagre 20 seats. Of those, only 12 were won at the last general election  But Ms Swinson sparked fury online after posting about her appearance on the BBC Question Time leaders debate tonight  She wrote on Twitter: “Tune into Question Time tomorrow night as the other leaders finally go up against a #GirlySwot ”   Trending  The comment was accompanied by a picture of Ms Swinson in a pair of yellow boxing gloves  She appeared inside a ring with supposed paparazzi snapping pictures of the leader  But Twitter came alive with comments after the image was posted by Ms Swinson’s account  One wrote: “Isn’t it rather insulting that the party leaders think it’s acceptable to pose in a boxing ring Just copying each other.”
