Where basically you have black bear, and you
have grizzly bear. Black bear are more prominent here in the
Northeast. They do have season on black bear, and black
bear have been found as far down into Westchester County, which isn’t that far from where we’re
standing right now. As any wild animal, black bear is dangerous,
but even more dangerous because they run three-, 400 pounds! That’s a lot of weight to be cast on you if
you aggravate it. You wanna hunt bear from a tree stand, although
remember, a bear can climb tree! So, usually they hunt it from a tree stand,
and over bait. They usually put bait out for it to lure them
in. Bear love donuts, and very sweet, like honey,
for instance. They come in and they’ll feed periodically,
usually at the same time in the evening or in the morning, and you’ve gotta be ready
for it, you’ve gotta be ready to take your shot. A lot of times you take that shot, you’re
not going to kill it right away, and that bear will wander off into the wilderness,
wounded, and of course, then, it’s your obligation as a hunter to go after it. That’s where the dangerous part actually comes
in. Now you’re going after a wounded bear in his
territory, so you’ve really gotta know what you’re doing. You’ve really know what the bear’s going to
do. Here again, you’ve gotta know the animal that
you’re hunting. When you go into the woods looking for that
bear, a lot of times we say that you better be sure it’s dead. Depends on what degree of wounding it is. A wounded bear is very dangerous if you corner
it, obviously. And when you finally get to it, be prepared
to take your second shot if you have to.

  1. heres a tip, if you think its a good idea to hunt a bear with a bow, you are a moron

the tree stand will not protect you

theres bears and boars that take multiple well placed gun shots to die, there are countless videos out there to prove that

why anyone would want to get within bow range of a bear is beyond my comprehension

  2. also in most states, its totally illegal to bait an animal when hunting

"be prepared for that 2nd shot" iuf you can kill a bear with two arrows, youre the man

  3. They are more often listed as "threatened." Black bears have lost much territory but their numbers keep themselves away from an endangered status.

I don't think there're morons seeing how they took one out with a single arrow on a stand not that much different than the one the expert describes.

  5. tried to watch but its gone. i believe it happened, but while i agree it can happen, i wouldnt take the chance. even pros sometimes miss in the field, you miss, or even if you hit but dont hit perfect, and simply anger it, youre potentially screwed

when it comes to predators, i wouldnt play games with a bow in these modern days, too many variables for the average hunter

stick to deer, turkey, etc when it comes to bows, use guns for the predators in my opinion, or at least have a sidearm backup

  6. I didn't know you could eat bears meat. Anyway bears are almost extinct here so if you get caught hunting a bear you are screwed, I don't know about America. I find it ridiculous just how a person feels superior by killing a less intelligent animal…

  7. Stop killing the poor bears for fucking no reason now people like this if you agree howcast u run out of ideas so u desided to star killing bears for fun

  8. I remember having seen this collection of tutorials before. This is Volume #152. Volume #1 was Unicorn Hunting Tips , number 2: Mamut Hunting Tips, number 115 was Dodo's: Hunting Tips, and so on…

  9. It's actually funny seeing the girl watching that guy talk with this WTF… expression and tottaly uncomfortable…
