The Tōkyō Motor Show (東京モーター ·ショー) is a biennial motor show, held between October and November at the “Tōkyō Big Site” (東京ビッグ· サイト) in the Ariake Minami district of Tōkyō.  The show traditionally is more about concept cars rather than actual production cars.

This D-Base concept is described as a “Vehicle that embodies the concept of the next generation compact cars of Daihatsu !!”.  It could well be the precurser of the next-generation Daihatsu Mira.

The Daihatsu Tempo Concept is actually a store on 4-wheels !!  For the show it was kitted out as a pop-up coffee shop in order to show off its versitility.  It featured a counter and a digital sign on the side of the van which can be used as a signboard.

The “Tiatro for Dayz” (Tiatro is Italian for theatre) is an all-electric kei-car.  It’s a boxy practical motor reminiscent of the Nissan Cube.  The car is designed to attract the young connected (electronically), in the words of Hidemi Sasaki, Nissan’s Product Planning General manager “share natives”.  Consequently, almost every surface inside the Dayz is imagined as a display screen.  This includes the seats, the entire dashboard and the steering wheel, thus allowing for immersive digital customisation.  the screens mean you can change the interior look as easily as the background wallpaper on your phone.  Naturally the car is electric as young people are used to re-charging their devices on a daily basis.

The “Mighty Deck” is actually mighty small but also mighty cute!!  Suzuki describes the car as a “fun-orientated minicar”, with a retractable canvas roof section and a repositionable load deck, which can be raised and lowered electrically.
